Ireland's Gardens was conceived by Brian and
Rose Cross out of a growing interest in garden
visiting from overseas groups. This web site will
help the tour operator and garden visitor alike
to access a wide range of chosen quality gardens
throughout Ireland.
The gardens chosen show a wide range of design
and planting, ranging from large desmesnes to
a suburban setting. With a mild climate, a wide
range of plant material is grown. Many rare and
exotic species thrive from all over the world.
Tree ferns from Australia and New Zealand. Watsonias
and Restios from South Africa and the rare Myosotidium
from the Chatham Islands, all add to the diversity
of plant material. Ireland's landscape is very
picturesque and many of these gardens have been
sited in chosen settings.

If you are interested in booking a holiday to Ireland's southwest coast, we can recommend Essence of Ireland. Their themed holidays to the region include a garden trail that takes in many of the gardens listed on this site.
