This is a beautifully designed and richly planted, award-winning half-acre garden that has been featured on RTE Radio's 'Planting Passions' programme and twice in both 'The Irish Garden' magazine and 'The Sunday Times'. In 2005, Terra Nova won the Viking / Irish Garden Award for Top Garden in Ireland.

Approximately 10 years old, this plantsman's paradise is full of imaginative features and unusual plants around every corner. Bamboos, tree ferns, hardy exotics and old-fashioned roses mingle among some very strange and quirky plants, including a large collection of Arisaemas and other hardy aroids. This is the garden of a pair of serious plantaholics!

Lots of pools and seats and winding paths add to the very special atmosphere of this oasis in the heart of the fertile 'Golden Vale' of Ireland. Look very carefully and you might be lucky enough to spy the little fairy folk who dwell in shady nooks.

The garden is made extra special by being the home to Terra Nova Plants, a small nursery that specialises in rare and out-of-the-ordinary plants. See www.terranovaplants.com for further details.
